.. mh - well, the parents won’t live forever; if you then want to rent out their part of the house, you will have integrated these people into the family as well. I would think about THAT carefully again....

The parents are turning 90, and then one of the three children will move in...

Could you please explain that in more detail? Then I’ll also know in which direction it’s going, by how much I need to raise the limit or where I have to make concessions.

Thank you

That’s true. If someone else should move in, it will be the aunt with the kids. At the moment everything is planned so that we can manage the burden even without renting out.

That would be nice :) Grandma left us at 96 in August… either one of the children will move in there or we will, depending on when the time comes.

Single-family house upper floor 70-80
And then three children's rooms each >15 sqm, so you're already at 45 sqm and still have no bathroom, no hallway, no stairs, no master bedroom. Your sqm numbers simply don't add up. And basically, you're building two houses plus 1 basement.
And a 30 m long driveway really costs a lot.

If you can raise the limit kannst, it is not a limit :p

Yes, that's right, it will be 2 houses, with 1x technology and basement. If it doesn't work out, then I'll just have to increase the limit. What matters to me is to find out how much I have to expect and where I can optimize something - leaving something out or adjusting something are two different things.

There won't really be a bedroom for us in that sense. I usually work in the living room when the kids are asleep. In the first years, one of us will sleep with the yet-to-come girl, the other probably with the currently 3-year-old.

I won't be able to save on the driveway, unless I install a car lift, which is out of the question. Then I would rather place the garage at the edge of the property.
