No, not yet at the moment. We are just about to give birth and are waiting for the soil report to be prepared. The architect and I agree that we need to reduce the retaining walls. He then suggested slopes. But we are not much further along there yet or rather he is working on it, but I don’t have anything yet.

Thanks for asking. The little one doesn’t like the weather yet and is still keeping us waiting ‍<3 Hopefully he won’t arrive the day after tomorrow on the big one’s birthday ;)

The soil survey and the inspection of the northern wall are scheduled for Thursday. At first, the tall grass couldn’t be mowed, then it was too wet. On Thursday, the surveyors and earthworkers will meet for the excavation trench.

In the meantime, I’m thinking about how to best slope the western area to get as much flat space as possible in a cost-effective way.

News: According to neighbors and a local earthworker, we have soil class 3 or 4, with alternating layers of clay and stone, and the architect assumes that strip foundations are both cheaper and better for the slope.

Update: Our biggest concerns are the driveway and the 4 parking spaces. I had the idea to put a carport at the bottom of the turning area to get 2 parking spaces or space for the trash bins.

Additionally, I want to save myself from building retaining walls in that area. To get up there, it will have to be quite steep. With 15% I reach the 3m, but I fear that might be too steep for pedestrians or cyclists (children). What do you think?

Apparently, I can slope the entire north side with a 60% gradient (2m height over 3m length = 67% are apparently allowed).

Basement finished floor level should not be below 211NN, maybe even at 211.50
Western level at 212.50/213
Eastern carport/parking space at 212.50/213
Ground floor finished floor level 214.30

PS: the floor plan is by no means final yet, the granny flat is still 10-15 m2 too large, maybe there will be less basement and the house maybe 2-3 m further east. My focus is currently on the outdoor area, to get approval from the municipality next week.
