Yesterday we were at a bathroom planner. Based on the existing floor plan, they showed us what could be done. When I asked where things could be placed, the answer was "The craftsman has to say." Therefore, no bathroom plan was made. Nevertheless, it was informative. There is another bathroom planner who works with our house supplier, but he charges €250 and deducts it if you buy from them. Overall, he is supposed to be more expensive. We are now considering making an appointment with him.

Could he at least laugh himself about his statement?

Unfortunately not.

Attached are the latest floor plans.

Changes on the upper floor:
The storage room is now recessed and the bathroom on the upper floor has become smaller. The bathroom design has also been changed according to personal preferences. We have removed the gallery and instead placed a roof window next to the storage room / by the stairs. A width of 89 cm for the staircase currently looks like a mistake to me. I also find the path next to the storage room with 91 cm too wide, or what do you think? In principle, this is only there to reach the roof window. Would you extend the "path" to the house wall? Visually, I would leave 90 cm (ending at the stairs) free. Of course, then it’s not as easy to access the attic window. However, my wife and the planner overruled me.

Changes on the ground floor:
I had the clear room height adjusted to 2.75 m. Additional costs almost €5000 for the increase and adjustment of the windows. We looked at 3 houses from the builder. House 1 with 2.75 m on the ground floor and 2.50 m on the upper floor with a ventilation system. I found the upper floor a bit too low. Whether it was due to the ventilation system or the difference between the ground and upper floors is hard to say.
House 2 with 2.5 m ground floor (bungalow) without ventilation system.
House 3 with 2.5 m on ground and upper floor without ventilation system. I did not find it too low, although I have to say that the terrace windows had a height of 2.11 m. So 4 cm more than our standard.

For me, the question is whether it is worth paying the extra price for the height increase. Even if many of you have a different opinion, I would currently rather step back and return to a room height of 2.5 m.

Also, we were at a kitchen studio this week and had a kitchen planned. See picture below, but it is not yet included in the floor plan. If you remove the cabinet next to the refrigerator, you could also make a double sliding door to the kitchen. However, I suspect it is pretty but impractical.

I don't know if it makes any sense to say anything more about it at all, since hardly anything changes despite various hints, but I'll do it again:

There is no space to use the wardrobe next to the bed. Move the wall to the office back by 60 cm and then place the wardrobe flush with the door. The terrace door behind the sofa is nonsense, the walkway of the other terrace door in the living room is blocked by the dining table, the west window is completely missing in the living room.
All windows on the upper floor are too narrow (except for the double casement window).
Congratulations on the double casement window in the stairwell - what a long birth!

why don’t you make a proper kitchen island (with a cooktop on it) and leave out the cabinet at the top right? I would also make the room doors higher.

Best regards Sabine
