The distance between the kitchen island and the kitchen row is actually a bit tight at 86cm

I always find the room dimensions much more helpful than those of the windows and the wall sections in between in floor plan discussions. I don't understand the roof windows that are drawn overlapping the exterior walls.

no no... this distance is fine. The two passageways are too narrow: only Twiggy can fit behind the island. And what's even worse: you can't get a vacuum cleaner or ladder out of the utility room. The route from the hallway to the utility room should be considered a main street here: but two narrowings are drawn in.

but the vacuum cleaner thing is exaggerated or is yours that big?

No, not big. But the household and everyday life have to run smoothly. I don’t want to have to look at 10cm to see if something has been bumped somewhere. Our vacuum cleaner is optimally carried with the right hand, the tube on the left. And now tell me how you have to turn around. If I need 10 seconds of pausing and juggling for every item from the utility room, I definitely built it wrong and have gray hairs too early and, even worse: bruises. This may seem a bit silly to read now, but this island would actually be a hate piece without any positive aspect.

Attached is the latest floor plan. From my point of view, we have reached a good stage where one could say that the floor plan is final. What do you think?

The changes in the floor plan are:

[*]Resulting changed terrace door heights/front door height and window heights to standard heights each

[*]Changed layout of guest toilet sanitary facilities
[*]20 cm wall offset in bedroom and bathroom so that a 3-meter wardrobe fits in the bedroom
[*]Stair run width 100 cm; adjusted stairwell

Note on the stairs: The width of the stairwell was set by the planner in the roof window area at the stair width of 110 cm so that the roof window can be better reached. This has no impact on the headroom regarding the continuous height of the stairs. The rest of the stairwell has a width of 110 cm. Does that make sense from your point of view, or is there something speaking against it?

Note on the 20 cm wall offset: Instead of the wall offset, one could also take a smaller door in the bedroom so that a 3 m wardrobe can be placed. What do you think? Should I leave it like this or change it to a smaller bedroom door or do something completely different?
