Exactly, I also don't want to sit in a glass house. The TV is also in the living room, too much light there is rather bad. A shed will be built against the living room's exterior wall. That means directly behind the garage. Since garage and shed are directly on the house, we have no choice regarding windows.

That it's nicer is beyond question. But I don't find it a dealbreaker. The room is bright enough.

I want to disagree with the "sometimes" - it seems to me that many planners deliberately pour furniture symbols "somehow" into the floor plans.

Attached is the latest draft from the planner.

On the ground floor, we have the passage through the kitchen again for the utility room. This was deliberately chosen to make the guest WC a bit larger. Kitchen planning is still to come, the same applies to bathroom planning. Unfortunately, the planner has again included his standard bathroom furniture in the floor plan. Where this is not wanted, I will address it again.

On the upper floor, we have returned to the original deep-sill windows because this allows better placement of the furniture.

Question: What do you think of the windows on the front of the house? Specifically, the two horizontal windows as double casement windows?

The advantage of horizontal windows: The window sashes can be fully opened without any problems if the window is installed as a double casement. If it is not a double casement, the same problem arises that the sash hits step edges or stair railings. I hope the explanation is clear. The 3D views of the street view and interior view serve as visual support.

If the windows in the hallway are vertical, they would have to be "moved" towards the front door so that the bottom edge of the window is above the 5th stair step – otherwise, the window sash cannot be opened. However, this creates gaps between the stair step and the bottom edge of the window.

small, old-fashioned, suitable for cannon barrels. Upstairs in the hallway everything is dark, in the living room such low windows that taller people have to duck their heads. How high are your ceilings, are they that low?

Best regards
