Can we briefly talk about the price again? I have heard this several times now, also in the extended circle of acquaintances. People always say heat pumps are 20,000€, sometimes even 40,000€ more expensive. What kind of nonsense is that? Where does that come from?
We are getting our heat pump together with the house at a fixed price, so I cannot see the price for the heat pump. But if I simply search for the Vaillant VWL 75/6, I immediately get several portals offering the heating system for around 10,000€ with all accessories and hot water storage. There is also a 30% subsidy. I think the installation cost will be similar, at least for an air heat pump.
Retrofitting underfloor heating costs around 50€ per sqm according to a quick Google search. That is 7,500€ for 150 sqm. Even then, we come to a total additional cost of perhaps 10,000€ compared to the gas heating. But then we also have underfloor heating and the running costs are much lower.
Moreover, in new buildings, gas connections, etc. also have to be installed. In existing buildings, a heat pump can also be connected to radiators, it just won't be quite as efficient.
