Most of it, of course, from renewable sources. The rest can be generated from gas. This can be stored well and converted to electricity at 50-60%. So even if we generated all the electricity for heat pumps from gas, we would still have saved half compared to burning it directly at home. And even in December last year, we generated 40% from renewables in Germany.

What is actually wrong with some users? Sometimes I get criticized on the site that my diesel requires 7.6l and then such statements about heat pumps?

If the heat pump neighbors consume the electricity, nothing will reach you either. Your gas heating also only works with electricity. If now a black start-capable inverter comes: If we have a dark doldrum, it won't help you either.

So six of one, half a dozen of the other. Going with the flow of electricity.

@TE: What is the reasoning now?

Please note in addition to our argument "new old building" that you will switch to a heat pump later anyway. Only then will you have to dig up the existing garden, driveway, etc. again for earthworks for the foundation, piping, and wall breakthrough. It is relatively difficult to adapt a new monoblock (or whatever will be modern by then) to the existing floor heating pipes designed for heat pumps.

I have found only one attempt to answer my question in this thread. And that came from .
I am not accountable to anyone and do not want to discuss the heating system of our house with you, but have merely asked two questions about the new draft law.

Best regards

Since it is only a draft law, one first has to see what is actually stated in the enacted law. Everything else is currently like reading from a crystal ball.

Then a short and concise answer. You are also allowed to install your gas boiler in 2024 if you can ensure - however - from 01.01.2024 that you meet the 65% renewable energy share. In fact, this means: From 01.01.2024 YOU MUST change your planning and switch to a heat pump. No matter what you have ordered or been approved for. Question answered? As far as I know, hardship rules for you are not currently planned. You can already plan today and prepare for it.

IF the law is passed like that. As already stated, it is still a draft. And there has already been so much opposition, I would not be so sure that it will come like that. But you never know.
