I can confirm the maximum 48°C flow temperature for an uninsulated building from the early 70s, there is no need for 60°C. The gas consumption is still beyond good and evil.

Now in the new building, heat pump with underfloor heating - probably designed for 35°C flow, standard, because of an unwilling developer, unwilling plumber, and incompetent MEP planner - since January we have never set more than 25°C flow, and behold, cozy warmth, pleasant heat, no radiator in the way.... Never again otherwise.
So even with a not ideally planned system, the designed flow temperature is not necessary.

One of our family houses (built in the post-war years) was recently equipped with new radiators to connect them to the low-temperature circuit. Works wonderfully. You can forget about your patent. Others are way ahead of you.

Interesting discussion, which no longer addresses the question, but ok. I understood that as long as the law has not been passed, no one can say anything about the design. Understood. But with all the discussion between the two “camps” here, I don’t understand: If this heat pump technology is so superior and practically suitable for all buildings, regardless of their construction year: then why this law? It should sell like hotcakes anyway?! PS: How I’m supposed to keep my whirlpool at +40 degrees with a 25-degree flow temperature at -5 degrees outside temperature is beyond me. Whatever – I’m not going to try it – gas simply burns hot. I believe in that and that’s what I’ll build.

For what reason? A heat pump is 3 times as expensive as a gas heater. The question is, however, for how much longer. I do have a few glass marbles here, but I'm afraid I lack talent. ;)

Anyone who has to afford something like that can also pay for the electricity. I recently heated my 300L aquarium to 60 degrees with immersion heaters to kill parasites. Just an idea... :p

That I can afford it is beyond question. But why should I waste expensive electricity on that in winter when it’s much cheaper for me with gas and the heating up is also faster?
But from my perception of the now hysterical discussion in the media as well, it’s precisely about the economic aspect: it is MEANT that fewer people can afford such careless use of energy, especially fossil fuels. So they deliberately take money out of their pockets and make them poorer. Some have to, annoyingly, halve their covered swimming area to stay within budget. For many others it will get tougher: then it means unpacking the wool blanket in winter or investing a six-figure sum in insulation and heat pump. Can’t do it? Then just sell and move into a smaller apartment. Each of us also needs too much living space (on average).

I wasn't talking about being able to, but about having to. The idea of heating an outdoor pool in winter unfortunately no longer fits the times. And in my opinion, this also seems to apply to your other energy concepts.

CO2? Climate change?
Has everything from page 1 up to here already been forgotten again? No wonder we’re not making progress in this country.
