I think "Contractor" means something different here. It is about the supply, not the installation. So rather district/local heating where the technical equipment is also rented from the supplier. Something similar to the neighboring thread. Maybe in multifamily housing construction there are such constellations where the main landlord completely outsources the heat supply.

That's true, that could be the case. I hadn't thought of that at all. You see that very often with cooperatives.

Exactly. We are merely dealing with the wet dreams of a green clique. Nothing legally binding has been decided. Surely nothing will happen before the summer break, and then it's already September. Who knows if it will even be decided this year.

And as it currently stands in the draft, it will not be decided.

The infrastructure in the high-tech country Germany has been run down due to austerity. In my village, there is no gas network and the power lines are also rather weak. A photovoltaic system of more than 30 kWp will not be approved. If everyone there uses heat pumps and electric cars, the cables of the power grid will be overloaded. But then they can just turn off the power.

At the moment, the draft would not have a majority like this. Therefore, my assessment is that any thoughts about it are pointless. Nevertheless, at the moment I would not install a gas heating system because the situation would be too unpredictable for me. And because I am satisfied with my heat pump, not even 2000 kWh per year is simply great.

One should perhaps keep in mind that in 20 years it will probably be difficult to find spare parts and/or heating technicians who really know their way around it. You want to operate a heating system for as long as possible. You also save yourself the gas connection, which is always a small risk. You also save on chimney sweep costs. Overall, you probably save a lot of money with a heat pump compared to a gas heating system. Many people think too short-term.

I rather don’t believe that about spare parts and technicians. On the contrary. So many people will still have gas heating systems repaired that there will probably be parts available for a long time. You won’t save on chimney sweep costs. The government will introduce a mandatory inspection for heat pumps; chimney sweeps are already being trained for this today. You don’t seriously believe that the “gods in black” will be left unemployed, do you?
