I notice that there is competition again. I will now take out regular household electricity (only have one meter) for 28.5 cents at a large yellow discounter. Heating and driving a car is fun again!

Bürgerwerke Ökostrom has also been reduced. From 59ct to about 39ct, starting in July.

If I have learned anything during this time, it is that I no longer value green electricity. The "real green electricity" without "indulgence trading" could theoretically still have procured wind, water, and solar cheaply OTC - but I am not aware of any cases where they did not also raise prices in lockstep with everyone else.

As a consumer, I do not change the energy mix by buying green electricity. Rather, I even promote the deforestation of forests for pellet heating systems and the associated reforestation with new monocultures. For this, there are certificates.

Well, the electricity price in Germany is determined by this strange system where the most expensive one sets the price. As far as I know, even those with "real green electricity" cannot counter that?
I no longer buy into the certificate trading stuff either. I used to not even know that there was a difference. But for several years now, I have been with Polarstern or Bürgerwerke, depending on who has the better rate. For every kWh consumed, a contribution goes into the expansion of renewables. I do think that this influences the electricity mix in the long run. I did not understand what green electricity has to do with pellet heating systems?

After the expulsion of Trauzeugen-Graichen, the law could even be completely overturned

It remains exciting...
And the assumption that electricity will not become massively more expensive in 2027 due to the CO2 price is an illusion. Almost 50% of our electricity will still come from coal and gas in 2027, alone 15% from the extremely dirty lignite...

I'm laughing my head off :D

Less laughing and more informing, Mr. Engineer.
Calculate the CO2 emissions for 10,000 kWh of gas vs. 2,500 kWh of electricity mix.
And then think again about the current price of both energy sources and what impact that has percentage-wise (!)

You'll realize it yourself.
