Photovoltaic system / heat pump, do you have 2 meters?

Unfortunately, we initially have two meters and will take a look at this in the first year. Unfortunately, our municipal utility does not allow a second meter and simultaneous operation of the heating via the photovoltaic system. In this case, the second meter will be removed later.

We only have one meter at our system. If you want to optimize the operating times of the heat pump in terms of photovoltaic usage, you can schedule the heat pump's running times during the daytime (in winter it’s obviously difficult when it’s cloudy and dark). It’s a bit tricky, but if you have underfloor heating with the appropriate storage mass of the screed, you can still get a bit more out of it.

I have also asked myself the question in recent days whether it is worth it and did a small calculation. SW Konstanz: Basic fee heat pump meter costs €184 per year Heat pump electricity 24.8 c/kWh Green electricity basic 30.9 c/kWh (basic supply, 6 cent difference) Green electricity online 28.3 c/kWh (cheapest tariff of SWKN, 3.5 cent difference) An extra meter pays off compared to the basic supply after about 3000 kWh, in the cheaper tariff after about 5200 kWh. Cheaper offers from the internet are probably in the corresponding range. I doubt that we will exceed the thresholds and will first have everything put on one meter. The photovoltaic will then be an additional bonus on top. (If I have made any thinking mistakes here, please point them out)

Compare the rates online. At verivox there is also a heat pump electricity comparison. I pay 19 cents and 6€ basic charge per month.
one mME costs 20€ per year.

Emergency solution is a strange term - there is no emergency here. We produce hot water with our own energy in the sunny months - financially that is (still) quite break-even and I have a good feeling about it and enjoy using my own electricity myself first.

9.99 kWp system 8 kWh storage capacity for the beginning. 8 kW charge-discharge power (so far hardly anyone looks at this value, although many storage systems cannot even power an induction cooktop from the battery) Plenty of interfaces for intelligent control of important consumers.
