Floor plan proposals - What works, what doesn't?

In the version without a pantry, I would pay attention to good sound insulation in the wall between the kitchen and the WC! I would rather do without this room entirely to make the hallway more spacious. (Ein Punkt, der uns jetzt bei unserem Rohbau ganz gut gefällt). And then arrange the WC towards the utility room.

Oh yes, the hallway might become too large if you forgo the pantry/[WC].

You are blocking the exit at the bay window with the couch.

Or leave the toilet on the left... and completely remove the pantry... I’m not so sure about that

Leaving the toilet on the left costs space for the washing machine and dryer there. I would rather swap the toilet with the space of the wardrobe. A ventilation can be well replaced by a window there, preserving the pantry’s proper place on the north wall. However, the planner for the bulky box around the sliding door should be tarred and feathered. It runs much more space-saving simply uncovered inside the pantry.

Washing machine should go upstairs anyway... and I feel the same about the spiebetür...

Me neither, and I wouldn't want it any other way. In our current apartment, we don't have one, and our kitchen is bursting at the seams.


I still don't find the position of the couch happy. I would put the dining table there if I already have the bay window.

The difference between an apartment and a house is that you can choose the space in the kitchen and thus plan the storage space of the pantry in the kitchen much better.
