People who have IKEA kitchens always have to convince themselves that they bought top quality for a low price.
- Fittings are good average
- Damping below average
- Hinge mounting is junk
- Final refinement for optimal use not possible because various things are simply not possible as they are not in the program
- Corpus is good
- Fronts are visually comparable to the cheapest price category of good kitchen manufacturers, but far from higher price categories (obviously)
.
I’ll quote myself here: Ikea hinges are okay, but that doesn’t help if the rest is partly junk. What good are top hinges if their mounting is no good.
Apart from that, with Ikea you always have the problem: If you want a high-quality front, it simply is not in the program. If you’re satisfied with the Ikea front, okay, but for an open kitchen with lots of light, that is simply not enough for me.
