It's like my Corsa with 5 people uphill. It works, but it doesn't feel right.

No, that's not how it is. Not at all.

With the Corsa, you take longer uphill than with the Mercedes. That's because of the Corsa. If the Mercedes also takes that long, it's because of the driver.

The menu is ready at the same speed for both power connections. If more power = faster, it's because of the cook.

The analogy fails.

You gain something when boiling water. This gain cannot always be carried to the finish line.

No, I get from A to B just as quickly with my Corsa because there are speed limits in Germany. Full throttle on the highway would be the analogy to boiling water.

Let’s agree that my wife and I are bad cooks with poor hotplate management, which we have to compensate for with lots of power (like the Mercedes driver at the traffic light who finally finds the gas pedal after 5 seconds and presses it hard).

I don't want to badmouth your cooking. It has to taste good.

You can also buy whatever you like. I just notice that you jump from one flawed comparison to the next and always miss my arguments.

Suddenly uphill turns into A to B and everything is different.

If the heating time is only a negligible part of the preparation time, more power doesn't mean more time.
I can't put it any simpler.

And unlike with [Corsa vs. Mercedes], you sit equally comfortably on both stoves.

I did not ask whether a cooktop with 5 zones and 11kW makes sense. I know that WE use it, and therefore want to purchase it. I did not ask for buying advice.

So, and now I am being told here that I do not need it. Very interesting. I should have actually recognized by now that someone just wants to push their own agenda.

And now please show me a cooktop with 7.xx kW, with 5 simultaneously usable zones. I am curious. If such a thing exists, one power module would have to supply 3 plates, so you would have max. ~3.6W for 3 plates. For ME, that is a no-go. That would not be a sign of quality for me if a manufacturer offers a cooktop where not even all plates can run at medium power simultaneously.

Small interjection: For me personally, the power output and even the number of burners are not so important. I think it comes down to a good arrangement of the burners. I often cook with two large pans. Not infrequently alongside a large pot for pasta. Often there is also a roaster on the hob for hours.
It really matters whether I have five small burners or two large, two small, or [Flexfeld] and two small...
In short, there are really unsuitable arrangements for every type of cooking.

With my last kitchen, I was therefore very happy to be able to exchange the forced linear arrangement of the burners on a 60 cm hob for an offset arrangement possible on an 80 cm hob. The number of burners was the same, the power was similar, and the burner diameters too. But simply more of this usually round cookware fits on the stove.
Unfortunately, with the so-called great [Flex-Feldern], this advantage is often canceled out again. This then leads to having even too much space and having to slap a large hole with a fan right in the middle of the cooking surface... Or that when I have two large pans on one side, I can no longer operate the temperature control without burning my fingers.

Keeping your eyes open and trying out is therefore, in my opinion, more important than comparing data sheets.

Ah, and something completely different: Avoid 60 cm deep worktops like the devil avoids holy water! The best appliances won't help if I have no space to work and place my tools.
