Just a question to the group, is it even worth buying the appliances from the kitchen studio? Or isn't an electronics store maybe the better place to go? Our refrigerator was broken and we were already in the furniture store. They wanted about 40% more than the same one would have cost at Media Markt. Regarding refrigerators, I can only say that Siemens and Liebherr have huge quality differences there. Siemens was all plastic and Liebherr had a lot of glass in it. All in the same price range.

Whether it is worth ordering the appliances directly from the kitchen studio is not so easy to answer; it depends entirely on your negotiation skills. For us, it was the case that we actually wanted to procure the appliances ourselves and initially received offers from the first kitchen studios without appliances. As we went along, we pitted the individual kitchen studios against each other with their offers and kept betting on one or the other. It was a lot of work and took time, but we were able to get quite a bit out of it. In the end, we got the kitchen complete with all our desired appliances at a lower price than the kitchen without appliances.... The important thing is always to have a 100% identical kitchen offered to you in order to be able to compare definitively and negotiate properly!

Stoves and condenser dryers, ovens, simple technology, even Amica or Gorenje last for years there. Refrigerators, here too the brand is of secondary importance when it comes to durability. Gimmicks and Aplusplusplus of course cost extra. It's different with washing machines and dishwashers. It very much depends on the components the manufacturer buys. Bearings, shock absorbers, pumps, heating elements. He says the best is probably really Miele. Bosch Siemens with their higher-priced devices also have decent components, AEG is drastically declining in quality since Electrolux took over. That's his opinion. Karsten

In any case, the price range among the usual manufacturers is very large; depending on which functions you want.

My experience is that the devices that are generally displayed in the usual electronics self-service stores belong more to the cheaper segments in the household area. That means, the actually top devices are only found in the catalog or real specialist shops.

We are back to the point that everyone has to consider what they want and how much this extra is worth to them.
Since I have never bought a complete kitchen before, I cannot judge. In our house, there was already a kitchen unit installed that is about 10 years old. It is fully equipped with Miele appliances. They are really great. However, the refrigerator broke down a few months ago.
We will probably buy new appliances and cabinets in about 10 years or so. The countertop is made of 6cm granite including a matching backsplash. Everything, including sockets, is fitted precisely down to the millimeter. That is amazing. Therefore, the countertop will probably stay in place.

By the way, the features/price ratio is the decisive factor for me. And that's why we ended up, for example, with an AEG washing machine, because it has a weight display when loading and processes a maximum of 8kg.

The machines with the feature from Bosch/Miele were significantly more expensive.

Sometimes it's surprising how heavy or light some piles of laundry are.
