We also ordered our kitchen from the furniture store, simply because it was the cheapest there and even the salesperson really knew what they were talking about (also about individual details). We had visited 4 kitchen studios beforehand (two of them chains) and both kitchen chains provided very poor advice. One consultant couldn’t even tell us anything about a steam oven, supposedly because he wasn’t familiar with it and didn’t have one at home either. In all the kitchen studios, our kitchen would have cost over 20,000 euros. At the furniture store, it now costs 17,500 euros including the granite countertop; the same kitchen was supposed to cost 23,500 euros in the kitchen studio.

Best regards
Sabine

Well, I am really looking forward to tomorrow. We are going to a rather smaller kitchen studio. It was recommended to us by several people as a little tip if you want good quality at a reasonable price.

We had also been to a larger kitchen studio at the beginning of our building planning. Our "dream kitchen 11500€" was supposed to cost there. With the new appliances, we shouldn't be much more expensive, since the first offer only included NEFF appliances, which were similar to my list.

Our desired amount would be around 10000€, so we were quite happy with the first offer. But let's see what awaits us tomorrow.

What I always find interesting about it: Everyone here who has bought a kitchen is happy and thinks they got a great price. We did too, by the way... The system apparently works very very well, even though everyone complains about it.

It's a shame there isn't an Ikea-like alternative (only higher quality, nicer, and more customizable), they would have gotten me as a customer right away. Planning a kitchen was fun for me, and thanks to various forums, an on-site kitchen planner is totally unnecessary (if you feel like doing it yourself).

well as long as the buyer is satisfied, everything is great. You think about everything, set a price and when it is reached, it's great

I see it differently. As a buyer, I don't want to be ripped off, neither knowingly nor unknowingly. In the age of the internet and thus high transparency and automatically adjusted prices, I can avoid that quite easily without much effort. Buying a kitchen is one of the few exceptions... and is an outrage for today's times. Transparency is either through Ikea (which unfortunately does not meet my standards) or through an incredible amount of time spent including comparisons.

In my opinion, Ikea kitchens are of higher quality than, for example, Nobilia. So, qualitatively mid-range. You have to live with the module system and find a front.
