But it was funny anyway, even though I agree with grym in terms of lawnmowers. I have a 150€ cordless mower and it does what it’s supposed to do and doesn’t annoy anyone, because cordless mowers are simply quieter.
You Alex, our al-Ko was bought for around 350,- in 2010. I thought, well, as long as it lasts, it lasts. Unfortunately, it was the only pure mulching mower they had at the country store. Now the thing has lasted until 2017 already, and we had about 1000 sqm to mow at our last apartment, it handled that. With a bit of care, ARAL Super, clean carburetor and fresh oil every year, even the simple Briggs and Stratton endures quite a lot. Now such a cordless device from Makita would be enough for me – but as long as the other one runs, it runs. I can also understand your statement about handleless. Why no handles? Why always grope at the fronts with fingers? Where is the ergonomic advantage? My wife would never want to buy something like that. Karsten
