I have accepted that too. So energy efficient, yes, but not A+++, only A++ to save 400€. Especially since you can't expect long running times with devices anyway.

1. because it fits best with the reduced design of the Bauhaus style. It just looks nicely reduced and cubic without frills and handles
2. no finger breaking, the magic word is (electric) Push-To-Open. It works easily, without exertion
3. handleless does not automatically mean that you need any grip recesses/profiles, therefore handleless kitchens are not per se easier or harder to clean
4. kitchen usage: intensive
5. with or without, as is often the case, it’s a matter of taste [emoji4] you can cook a lot and easily in a kitchen with or without handles. If it doesn’t work out, it’s probably less the kitchen’s fault [emoji6]

We originally thought the same. We probably tried a few bad solutions here and there and then the Ikea solution, which is really completely pointless. In another kitchen studio then, actually we were already moving away from handleless, our kitchen consultant showed us the handleless kitchen from Schüller and wondered what we could possibly find uncomfortable about it!? And indeed, the large grip area profiles are super smooth and not harder to operate than normal handles. The fridge also opened super easily now, for example. Of course it gets a vertical grip area profile, I don’t think all manufacturers think that far ahead.

That's why we have a faucet whose mixing water lever is located at the outlet....like on a tap, no more dumb bending over the faucet itself.....

That's cool too.

One of the few design flaws that only became apparent to me when using it is the "rotary knob"? with which you open and close the drain. The fitting is from Villeroy & Boch, but when the basin is quite full, the water pressure on the drain strainer is so high that you can't turn the rotary knob without pliers... it's a smooth piece of stainless steel about 1.5 cm high and 3~4 cm in diameter, which my paws can't properly grip, and wet, nothing works at all. (i.e. reaching into the dishwater and lifting the strainer by hand)

Looks nice, but is useless.

Do you perhaps have a kink in the Bowden cable? Normally, it moves easily, even when the basin is full.
