On which of these floor plans can we continue to build?

A very slight undertone came through to me.

But only a flat roof is allowed there.

What exactly is still missing from that? Then I'll submit it tomorrow.

By the way, in NRW you can build 9 m garages; they line up here by the dozen.

I can't follow you. In which variant?

In every one. Or did you not want to build a garage in any version?

Who are you telling this? Our garage is tidy by now, but my husband parks his convertible in front of it. 365 nights a year. I have my carport, and I can fling open the doors. Also, it’s protected there, even if you want to do something covered. Then the car is just backed up briefly and then you work under it or drink mulled wine. My carport is 3 meters wide, but I have 4 available. Only it’s the case that any argument bounces off the OP. So be it. After almost 200 posts and many alternatives, the OP still wanted to install his straight staircase on an 8.5-meter depth. Okay, I haven’t checked that with the 200 posts, but in total there were close to 300, and there is a resistance to advice. Ultimately, the initial question here is only about confirming his, i.e. thoughts, and then all I can say is: it is what it is – I’m not making any more suggestions because they’re not wanted. And indeed the time has come, better to stand at the house and drink mulled wine than in front of the computer. However, I don’t understand why they insist on the flat roof? Is that in the development plan?

Edit: Answers overlapped. A flat roof is a must.

I have no different opinion in this forum than in the other one.
I can name you a third forum, maybe they will put words in your mouth... they are very sparse with criticism because you drive members away with criticism.

I meant the very first version shown - so not the one from you. The use of "consultation-resistant" is slowly becoming overused: I really have trouble accusing someone of being consultation-resistant when they have their own opinion (for example about the staircase). For example, I also just want a straight staircase: our decision. Period. It's not about building the house of the readers, but one's own. On the other hand, pointing out advantages and disadvantages as well as alternatives for things that are not "fixed" is sensible and very helpful. It would be wise to take this constructive approach in the comments.

Wow! We'll probably never get that far.

How dissatisfied must someone be with their design if, after 300 posts and countless suggestions in one forum, they still go to another to ask the same question?

This flood of information "Internet" is simply a dilemma for many, always feeling the need to have the best so they don't regret a missed opportunity later. It turns into an obsession, and some don't buy anything at all anymore.

A house is, of course, often a once-in-a-lifetime investment. You should definitely think it through a bit. However, I wouldn't hope here that someone will pull the all-in-one miracle solution out of their pocket for you, as long as nothing is allowed to change in the basic form and size.
