On which of these floor plans can we continue to build?

That's why we are also discussing the parking options for several cars here... I don't understand it.

We have 2 cars! What might happen in x years is only of limited relevance for the current planning. The fact that I can also commute by public transport, as I already do today, does not take into account other circumstances that require a second car: distance to the elementary school, own hobbies, children's hobbies, ...

You may notice that the feedback is very sparse. Many of your questions are either matters of taste or things you can simply try out yourself to find out, or there simply isn’t a sensible alternative with this floor plan.

Example TV: Take a tape measure and mark 3.55m from the wall behind the TV, then move your armchair as it would be later. Now decide for yourself.

For other things there is no solution with this floor plan. On the ground floor, the entrance area, hallway, and dining room are all uncomfortable narrow rooms. Whether the corridor is 5 cm wider or not doesn’t make any difference. Only at 50 cm might it become interesting, but where do you get that from?

By the way, I would always keep the utility room door at 86. For the WC and storage room, 76 is sufficient.

I would plan the storage room and children’s room so that you can place and actually use cabinets at least 50 cm deep in both. So allow about 3 cm tolerance for plaster and wallpaper. 60 would of course be better – but you still need 1 m to be able to stand in front of it.

I would definitely raise the door to the bathroom. You need every bit of space and storage area you can get.

I would have the space under the stairs made usable by a carpenter in your case. Maybe the staircase builder also offers something ready-made. Here is a nice example where you also get an impression of your hallway:

Otherwise, I would strongly recommend reviewing the window situation again. In the living room, this tiny door on the west side is the result of the whole terrace here and in the green forum? Hmm.

Upstairs there are no windows on the sides at all. It’s like a row house. Let the light in! At least for the children.

Well, and finally you should slowly start dealing with the exterior view. I’m afraid it still looks a bit crazy.

Thank you for this feedback.

I can ask.
It will be a concrete staircase, will they offer something like that?

Of course, it can still be made bigger .

Which view exactly do you mean? The exterior view?

I do notice it .
I took the 10x9 floor plan from again and quietly did some drawing. Not pretty, but maybe readable.

I just believe that with a 270 cm wide couch and a dining table with larger chairs and a kitchen in a house width of 10 meters (inside accordingly 9.34 meters) it somehow always looks tight.
The 6 chairs that I have drawn in are always shown with some space between them. But at our place, only 4 chairs are actually used, the two at the heads are pushed under, and when guests come, we push the table slightly away from the window.

Maybe there is more feedback on this adapted floor plan?

For the TV distance question, I will not comment here constructively* for two reasons: first, because I fundamentally do not grant the so-called quality of today's TV programs - megapixels cannot replace content depth - as a basis for designing a floor plan; and second - connected with the already per se low poetic priority derived from "firstly" - because I would only seriously consider it if we were talking about a somewhat noble place. But not with the Bauhaus style 08/15 version of a Flair 113

* explained here only because you are surprised by the lack of response

And I do not even know whether you use a bag or bagless vacuum cleaner - how could I reasonably speculate which storage room door width would be suitable?

Where Katja wrote "hose" in the floor plan, I see it as less dramatic. But how your wife on the one hand does not want a "semi-detached floor plan" and on the other hand thinks that terraced houses would have even fewer side windows, I find equally strange.

The stair builder who installs a built-in closet would be a wooden stair builder. Concrete stairs come from the same precast factories as ceilings; they certainly do not offer such things.

So go to the carpenter - but only after the actually existing staircase (measured from the upper edge of the finished floor!) can be measured.

Your little closet painting is not only not pretty but also actually maybe only barely readable: it is hard to see where the innovation is supposed to be. So it remains without a response from me as well.

What kind of staircase is this? How do you get to the office?
It is no longer a Signus... reminds me a bit of the beginning (at least the open space)
