How big is a normal one? Diameter 3-4 or rectangular 3x5 m?

Rather 3x7 and larger. Of course, smaller is also possible....

Both the house and the garden are bursting at the seams. Terrible.

How nice that this is brought up again. You should include the pool in the house planning right away. I can see it coming that this will never see water: it will get a piece of cardboard on top so it can be used as storage. Of course, the 3-meter boundary distance applies to it as well... no space on the property for the house, but a pool... the priority list here is completely out of control. I'll now become a quieter reader, I've hoarded enough in this wheel.

Most people have the self-erecting pools, they are not that huge anyway. Otherwise, you just have to make a compromise. Pool only after the swing and stuff are gone – also with regard to safety or not at all. Seriously, how often can you even use it with us?

That's what I mean. They have something around 3.5-4 m on average. My sister has a similarly deep garden, just about 9-10 m wide. There's also a pool and a swing in it. OK, you can't play football on 2 goals anymore.
