Visually that may be true. Practically, it's something else..... Indeed, such stairs then look more delicate (especially if the stairs are dark). Even better are "floating" steps (only fixed to the wall). But that is relatively expensive.

We originally also wanted "floating" steps. Besides being expensive (about €2000 per step), according to our architect, a 24 cm concrete wall would also have to hold the steps. Pipes in this wall would also not be possible. It ended up being a folded plate staircase in dark oak with a glass wall as a fall protection. The glass makes it appear open and visually widens the hallway (about 140 cm).

My point was that you can't know everything imaginable. Aside from that, the people I know who work with this professionally are certainly structured, but also quite creative. Finding a solution definitely involves the occasional "if-then-elseif-else," too,

I wanted to say: Expressing yourself clearly to fellow discussants - whether concerning paths or intermediate stages - is, in my opinion, evidently not your domain at the graphic level; so you better switch to the verbal level (language / text / lines of code). Another type of image level (flowcharts) might suit you as well, but it would significantly limit the number of possible fellow discussants.

You have, so to speak, "nevertheless" made progress in some parts (carport / outbuilding / side window). But for the next step (stairs and the area underneath), I see you either tiring a group of fellow discussants to exhaustion again, or you look for a suitable other communication level to convey yourself to the ongoing planner.
