Visually that may be true. Practically, it's something else..... Indeed, such stairs then look more delicate (especially if the stairs are dark). Even better are "floating" steps (only fixed to the wall). But that is relatively expensive.
We originally also wanted "floating" steps. Besides being expensive (about €2000 per step), according to our architect, a 24 cm concrete wall would also have to hold the steps. Pipes in this wall would also not be possible. It ended up being a folded plate staircase in dark oak with a glass wall as a fall protection. The glass makes it appear open and visually widens the hallway (about 140 cm).
