I would not give up the pantry! Even if it is narrow. Drink crates, handheld vacuum cleaner, blender and everything else that shouldn't be left standing around in the kitchen all fit in there easily!
Or where else do you want to store the drinks?
They won’t fit in the utility room (I assume you also want to dry or iron laundry there).
High/storage cupboards are to be integrated into the kitchen, where it should fit.
For example, we don’t have water crates, the beer comes as a pack of six, and the handheld vacuum cleaner is mounted on the wall.
Two large, floor-to-ceiling tall cupboards in 60 or 80 cm width swallow all that. And to the left in the kitchen with the pantry removed, you get about three meters of tall unit front... countertop then continuous on the right side.
Exactly, storage cupboards are to be included in the planning.
But unfortunately that complicates the kitchen planning.
In what way? My idea is to plan the door from the hallway as a sliding door, then start an L-shaped line plus a boxed-in kitchen where there is also space for the supplies.
I'll attach some picture examples of how I would like it, but the dimensions etc. are still missing.
You could shift the hallway a bit towards the stairs, make the utility room smaller and put the washing machine and dryer into the resulting office.
That way you have a bigger ironing/laundry room which can also be used as an office. The wardrobe will also become bigger as a result.
But then the kitchen is completely open. That does not work, I cook/bake daily and that is a noise issue for us.
