It doesn't have to be perfect right from the first - or second - try, but the architect should still know which furniture with which dimensions needs to be accommodated so that the rooms can actually provide for this. Our initial design would only have suited a two-meter-fifty sofa at first, but was then adjusted accordingly.

I would make the house 1 meter longer. For your room requirements, 140 is too little. You can see it here: the living space is simply cut off. The staircase could use 20cm more, the rest to the living area. The wardrobe is not enough for 4 people: simply deepen the niche by 30 cm (to the disadvantage of the next room, but a kitchen can also benefit from something like that) and behind a sliding door, there is plenty of storage space that can also accommodate your shoes in two rows at the bottom. Plan the kitchen layout roughly in the drafts that could also work right away (it is missing again) with a terrace door where it is needed, namely at the kitchen workspace. Upstairs, I would put the children to the south and west. The bathroom needs to be rearranged – as it is now, you stand with your back to the daylight and the toilet is on display. The bathroom is best placed above the downstairs toilet. The shower place is very poorly chosen -> makes the bathroom quite small. The views are not the worst. However, more attention should be paid to the east sun. Possibly consider fixed glass walls in the kitchen.

I would prefer to completely crumple up the design - it is obviously facade-oriented and obsessed with squares.

Good thing I'm not obsessed with squares..

I tried again myself..
And tried to draw on paper..

Would the staircase work without bumping your head when going to the toilet?

The floor plan of my parents is quite similar. The thing with the stairs works. They are no longer at head height in the hallway towards the WC at all.

For Olivia Jones, but without mega heels. The "office" is enough as a laptop bag storage and for the annual tax return session, but for regular home office only with controlled residential ventilation.
