I didn’t mean a strip of light and then couldn’t edit the post anymore. There will be a 2.40 m window there.

The wall at the top of the plan is directly on the street; we didn’t want the bed there. We had thought of it as it is currently, or on the wall of the dressing room. True, the access to the bedroom can then also be at the other end.

In the bedroom, there should also be a makeup table + my Kallax with my books.

Those were desperate attempts to plan as many floor plans as possible in a very short time, with the thought of somehow finding the 150% floor plan! Very very very much harder than expected!

The island is drawn at 140 x 100, still too small? The dining table is 2 m.

In the bathroom, we would like the built-in shower; how else could I place it so that it’s not directly at the entrance door?

I would prefer only one window as well, but our concerns were whether it would be too dark. And because the windows are not floor-to-ceiling and should have frosted glass/or similar, I thought that was okay. Would you have an idea how to solve that better?

Maybe only one large window on the north side?

There should also be a storage room under the stairs; she probably forgot that. I would tell her that next time.

My husband placed the bed like that. It may sound like “nonsense” to some, but he sleeps better with his head facing east..

Edit: I will ask again about the staircase!!

You could mirror this staircase and thus place the long leg on the bathroom side. Then nothing needs to be built over.

But that doesn’t mean that the shower is positioned exactly there with two windows? That’s called wasting without sense and understanding. At some point, nothing reasonable comes out of it anymore... could that be why the staircase was placed so impossibly? I can understand the east. Not the street, since the room is on the street. Why was it planned so brainlessly at all? I don’t understand that and believe that something is wrong with the planning or communication between you or the planner. As a professional, I don’t hand over quantity instead of quality!!!

The trick would be quite simple, a paradigm shift: as soon as you stop planning from the outside in, the ghostly visage of all facades will magically transform into friendly faces.

we will mirror the staircase, that of course makes more sense. thanks for the hint

I had told her that I would like to have windows on the east side in the bathroom and that the shower entry should not face the door.

The idea was, the closer to the outer wall, the more noise probably. I have simply never lived directly on a street. Always in a back building.

The architect is still very young, but she has already completed a few semi-detached and terraced house projects for developers here. However, not too many single-family houses. Still, I want to give her a chance, because only that way can she develop further. She is very, very committed and always implements requested changes immediately.

It may be that she lacks experience and that we are also "mindless" because we get quickly enthusiastic about many things. However, I have noted every comment I received here, looked at it in the drawings, and seen that many of those things are indeed like that. And that's exactly why I'm asking here in advance before I fix anything.

But it's really a shame when you eventually get the feeling that you always do everything wrong anyway.

I hardly want to ask anything anymore.

Tastes are different and are allowed to be – it’s not "wrong" if you find grim facades beautiful. But if this effect was not intentional, it’s better to tell you now while the drawing can still be changed quickly, rather than noticing it only after it has been built expensively at a 1:1 scale. As long as you only contribute patience and she does not expect payment for the failed attempts, I think that’s okay.
