The kitchen dining area is 5.57 long and 3.38 wide, see below.
However, we don’t have the necessity to accommodate absolutely everything in the kitchen; rarely used equipment goes into the back kitchen / utility room.
Also, this dimension only covers the area where we want to put furniture; next to it is traffic space, which ultimately counts in as well and makes the whole thing look more open.
Including the passageway, it’s about 5.57m x 4.77m.

Best regards,

Jan

You misunderstand me. It’s not about any cabinets or the width of the kitchen. It’s about the depth. Calculate according to the RBM
2 cm plaster
2 cm air
60 cm row
100 cm passage/workspace
90 cm island

= 254 cm kitchen area

Exactly 3 meters remain in depth for the dining area. It can work for you, but it will be tight if you want to serve guests at the table or reach anything else in that corner. The passage space is minimal.

With 120 cm workspace in the kitchen or an island of 100 cm depth, however, I would advise against it, and then you have to think a bit more creatively and possibly go diagonal. That’s what I meant as a hint and option.

Your sliding door can be slid without space, but you will also have to squeeze past the furniture there. If the fridge, which is also about 5 cm away from the wall, wants to open its door, there won’t be much room for maneuvering.

If still possible, I would reduce the utility room by at least 30 cm so that you have enough space for dining. The utility room can handle that quite well; even 60 cm would still be doable. Otherwise, you will regret it.

I would also recommend that, otherwise it will be very tight around the dining table. I would also consider that it is not very pleasant to sit right next to the refrigerator. After all, a refrigerator is not completely silent. I would prefer to place it right at the start of the kitchen unit.

Best regards

Well, you kitchen animals? Big battle day today at the Schüllermann Milan? We are done. Potatoes peeled. (Linda) Miracle Whip on, eggs and apple in, cucumbers too. Then warm up the sausages. Mustard. And Christmas Eve can come.

Potato bread is baking right now. Meat for fondue is sliced. Beef, lamb, pork, chicken. Vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower (the latter lightly pre-cooked). Brown mushrooms.

Sauces are ready. Spicy salsa, mild curry-banana, honey-mustard, aioli.

( Champignon directly from the hot fat with fresh aioli I consider food porn deluxe... ).

Salad and dessert will be brought along. Wine and beer are at the right temperature. Good sake will be tried today. Excitement.

I'm already so happy. It's more important than the presents!

The nails are drying right now
Then coconut macaroons will be baked quickly
In the evening we are going to the parents, our kitchen will remain cold until tomorrow evening. There will be roast beef with parsnip puree [emoji39]
