I'll put it this way: everything would be too narrow for me. The dining table will be difficult to get up from or walk around when fully occupied. We redesigned at 3m because we didn't want to squeeze ourselves like we do in the rental apartment now in a new and also super expensive house. There is no space for any sideboards along the walls. The sofa area is perfect for an 8k TV. You can see every pixel. I would consider 2.9 raw structural dimension borderline there. A utility room with under 6.5 sqm raw structural dimension is already very small. You will probably barely be able to squeeze between the equipment. The office will hardly work with the drawn-in furniture like that. It can, but you then sit right in the Billy shelf. More than 30cm depth will not work. Classic lever arch files do not fit. The bedroom would be too long and narrow for me. The free space between the dressing area and bed can hardly be used. In any case, the bed should be moved from the wall to the middle of the room.

I have a width of 3.5m in the living room where the couch and TV are, and that is okay. I would not recommend significantly less than that. If you could add a meter (or at least 60cm) there, you could simultaneously mirror the upper floor, so that the bedroom and bathroom are in the north and the children's rooms are in the south. Then you would reach your 150sqm. Otherwise, it is quite tidy. The staircase can be like that. I also have this dimension of 1.9m. The steps are 80cm wide. Of course, it would be preferable if another 20-40cm could be added there.

Don't say that to us but to the architect. Or did you give him that as input for the planning?

Actually, I would stay well under 3 m for planned 8K, unless we're talking about 80+ inch diagonal here. So it would be suitable for that, but that was probably not the motivation here.

290 is way too narrow. With plaster, that's 285... Furniture is not placed directly against the wall. That is absolutely too cramped - you bump into things everywhere just by looking.

That the utility room on the ground floor is a bit smaller was okay for us since we plan a second one upstairs. But I noted that!

Okay, I'll take another closer look at the office!

I will measure our sofa and see whether 3.5m could fit with us.

I didn’t give the architect anything, I only communicated our ideas.

I have now noted the following to pass on to her:

- Living room too narrow
- possibly different staircase (if it makes planning easier)
- children’s rooms not in the north – bedroom not in the south
- utility room upstairs with window added
- possibly enlarge the house up to max. 150 sqm so the rooms can be more spacious
