To be honest, I really like this arrangement in the bathroom, and the office corner upstairs as well. Of course, it also depends on whether you have office chaos or countless folders, etc., or a nice little spot with a laptop and nice decorations where you enjoy sitting. For example, we have our Wi-Fi printer in the utility room and also a small office area, which is why I can well imagine it. I once had the toilet opposite the shower and didn’t want it at first. But then I really found it great; it has a lot to do with individual design/use, and especially in open areas you just have to be a bit careful. You could move the bedroom wall a bit or just have one door to the bedroom/dressing room; for example, we had a small sofa in the dressing room/bedroom, so a little more space there can also be nice; again, a question of design. At first glance, I find the ground floor successful; to what extent you want to have the kitchen area so deep into the dining area, you probably know better. I always wonder why there is a door to an otherwise open room, but maybe there are reasons for that. In any case, I would shift the guest WC wall slightly so that a shower could fit there; a second shower in the house would be a must for me.

Do I understand correctly that the office has no door? If you ever plan to deduct a home office on your taxes, that will probably be a problem.

I don’t have an office mess; personally, I only have a few folders for the usual things. My husband wants the office because I might possibly at some point eventually go back to working from home..

I also like the arrangement in the bathroom but would prefer it to be where she planned the dressing room.

Do you mean the door from the hallway into the kitchen? I wanted that so I can go directly from the hallway into the kitchen with my shopping, etc.

Yes, I also think the kitchen is very deep into the dining area; I think she did that because I want part of the kitchen to be "boxed in" in the wall.

Yes, the second shower is also a thing.. I would keep the space, but we don’t need a second shower.

Yes, that’s right. It’s more of a small work nook.

I didn’t plan to make it tax-deductible. I don’t really work from home anyway.

Then that is of course not a problem, it also depends on your professions. So far, I have also assumed that I would not work regularly from home because that is actually not very welcomed here. And then suddenly March 2020 came, and since then I have been sitting at home in my office and have only been back at the company twice.

Not directly. It came about because we gave up the dressing room and thus gained space.

I like the new office solution!
You could also box in a part in the kitchen at the bottom of the plan.
