Miele washing machine with pre-ironing

We bought the Miele WMV 960 washing machine and are completely satisfied with it. Currently still looking for a suitable dryer to go with it. There is of course no truly wrinkle-free result, but it will certainly manage to make wrinkle-free shirts wearable again. And ironing t-shirts? Probably too much boredom. With Miele devices, you can definitely notice the price difference when using them.

The father-in-law now wants to make the WMB120 WCS a generous Christmas present. He says we can also wish for a different one, and we will pay the extra cost. The machine does not have the ironing function, and it would not be worth an extra €200 to me. I think the machine serves its purpose, and I am simply grateful.

The WMB120 WCS has the same pre-ironing function as mine.

In case this is still relevant - we have had a Miele WMM160 with pre-ironing function for half a year now and I am a big fan of this feature! With the old washing machine (also a Miele), only my shirts were ironed, the rest was simply washed, hung up clean, and worn. Even for shirts, ironing is no longer necessary for us - every 1.5 weeks there is an extra shirt wash cycle with the pre-ironing function. For non-iron and easy-iron shirts, you can skip ironing if you hang them directly on hangers at the end of the program. For "normal" shirts, you can turn a blind eye as well. However, due to the reduced capacity (from 8 to 4 kg), it is not an everyday function for all wash loads, but only a shirt function for us. However, I can sleep 5 minutes longer every morning because of it. In the long run, that would be worth 200 EUR to me again.

We have now been using our machine for some time and I have not yet noticed a real difference (e.g. unconsciously).

I always forget to pay special attention to it, but if I unconsciously don’t notice a difference... it can’t be that big, I will try to remember it again in the future.

But we have not had any shirts so far, only T-shirts, sweaters, jeans, etc.
However, I think the laundry comes out warmer after pre-ironing, but not less damp.
