Today, you only need the TAE socket in the utility room (handover point of the provider). From there, everything can be connected via LAN cable or wireless.
A simple current FritzBox (or another manufacturer) is connected to the TAE socket in the utility room, and then a proper FritzBox (better Wi-Fi network + DECT signal) is installed in the hallway, which is connected to the other FritzBox via LAN.
Alternatively, you can set up a mesh system and extend the telephone signal with DECT repeaters from the utility room.
Most phones today only need a charging station, and the rest works wirelessly.
There are 2 options for which I no longer need a TAE socket in the hallway.
