So, once again a brief status report. The meetings that have taken place, whether with the architect team, the tax advisor, or the financial advisor, have continued to go very well and really structured. This means that nothing should stand in the way of the building application in the next few weeks, as the cubature is suitable for all of us!

Currently, the topic of the exterior appearance is interesting. As already described, originally all-glass was planned for the balcony and terrace areas. However, this did not fully convince us due to the visibility and openness. Afterwards, the possibilities (also for façade areas) were presented and visualized to us using expanded metal. I personally find the idea really great, but we can’t fully come to terms with this option either. I think it will probably still come down to glass, but a dark tinted / painted / or a variant that I haven’t considered yet.

Suggestions are, of course, welcome.

Best regards

The best choice for this is probably "Spiegelglas", there are windows that are hardly visible from the outside but allow a good view from the inside. Alternatively, the only option would be to reduce the window areas to achieve privacy or one would have to make the property "uneinsehbar".

Hello . Thank you very much for your opinion. I think I expressed myself a little incorrectly. The large window elements on the ground floor and also in parts of the planned penthouse apartment should of course be designed with regular windows. The same applies to all other windows (except perhaps the bathroom windows).

I meant the balcony elements on the 1st floor and the terrace enclosure for the top floor (here we have planned about 100 sqm of roof terrace). I think the mirrored glass is a good approach, although I could even imagine that with tinted glass elements a certain privacy screen could be created for the balconies and the roof terrace.

Best regards

Ah ok, so it's not about windows in that sense but about the "balcony railings". What also looks good there is frosted glass. Of course, this then does not offer visibility in both directions.

Exactly. Frosted glass was being discussed. But it doesn’t really fit the overall look of the planned object! To me, it has a very sterile connotation.

Ok! What you can alternatively do, we have in the living room (this is visible from the other side), are frosted glass films. But not completely, for example a stripe design or something like that. You can do something very individual and theoretically change it again.
