So things are also progressing continuously with us. The municipal utilities contacted us recently, and we now have an appointment for the shutdown necessary before demolition scheduled for mid-November. It actually is a somewhat strange feeling since our house has stood for over 90 years. But just think about what’s coming!

As in the past, there are many conversations/meetings with the architects. We have started with the kitchen planning. The drainage planning is largely complete. The structural engineer is also done for the most part, but due to the complexity, according to building regulations, we still need to involve an expert structural engineer. In the next two weeks, a company will carry out test drilling so that the final soil report can be created. Otherwise, we already have close contact with an electrical company that we consider very good (thanks to ) which is preparing an offer based on the current planning status (security technology / KNX / audio / lighting / photovoltaics and so on).

So it’s definitely not boring at the moment.

Best regards

P.S.: I think photos will follow soon!

So, your own existing building is currently on the property? - pictures of the "before demolition" condition would certainly be nice too - there is a property picture thread here, I think that would be a suitable place for such things.

Correct. The house "barely" survived WWII. 10 meters further it would not have ended well. Attached is a picture from the post-war period (back then still with a shutter on the ground floor and various halls behind the house / the exterior view has changed from time to time).

Brief and to the point. Our house is now completely empty. The decommissioning will take place over the next two weeks. Preliminary work for the demolition will be carried out in December. This demolition is planned for January and February with a direct transition to the excavation and shoring for the basement and underground parking. Since we are going right up to the property boundaries, we have decided on a so-called "Forster System shoring". The evidence preservation for the neighboring properties has also been commissioned.

If you are interested, I will write a few key data about the planned project in the next few days.

Best regards
