Is a satellite system still necessary in new buildings, or is IPTV sufficient?

People. Sat is cheap and very reliable, while with us the DSL goes down for hours several times a year. Keep that in mind. Don't save in the wrong place.

Lol... No satellite system. Completely absurd idea with IPTV and streaming quality in Germany. But if someone absolutely has to save the 800€...

Jo Sat system is very affordable and super reliable. There is nothing to consider, unless you don't watch TV.

I wouldn't buy a SAT dish anymore now. We probably watch streaming services about 90% of the time. But I actually only realized that when the dish got misaligned during the storm around Christmas, and since then only a few channels work. However, we only noticed that days later.. I have to get it readjusted (have it readjusted) again now. If you already have it, it should work.

Maybe. But having it is still better than needing it, and honestly, who among us used to complain about the cable fee in addition to the GEZ fees? It's the same with Entertain, Prime, Netflix, and co.

It's like with a kidney or an egg. It works, but it's annoying if it fails.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not an advocate for SAT; if there was a one-time fee for all SAT programs, I would be the first not to put a dish on the roof. But paying an extra 20€ per month for TV means the SAT system pays for itself in 3 years.
