I wouldn't buy a SAT dish anymore now. We probably watch 90% streaming services anyway. But I only really realized that when the dish got misaligned during the storm around Christmas, and since then only a few channels worked. We only noticed that days later.. But now I have to adjust it (or have it adjusted) again. If you already have it, it should work.
Maybe. But having it is still better than needing it, and honestly, who among us used to complain about the cable fee in addition to the GEZ fees? It's the same with Entertain, Prime, Netflix, and co.
It's like with a kidney or an egg. It works, but it's annoying if it fails.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not an advocate for SAT; if there was a one-time fee for all SAT programs, I would be the first not to put a dish on the roof. But paying an extra 20€ per month for TV means the SAT system pays for itself in 3 years.
