Is a satellite system still necessary in new buildings, or is IPTV sufficient?

IPTV via M3U ( kodinerds-iptv) or apps (Zattoo / JOYN / Waipu) but also media libraries now offer a live stream

Edit: ZDFneo and Arte even freely receivable via DVB-T2

The solutions are all crutches in my eyes. Nothing beats satellite. They are saving in the wrong place...

Then it's a mental thing for you that can't be solved with arguments. I wouldn't put a metal plate on the house if it can be avoided. I see no added value, only extra costs and effort and poor aesthetics.

It was not about the monetary component here either.

I simply just turn on the TV and have everything there.

No ongoing costs, no subscriptions, no additional apps, no need for a 100 Mbps connection.

The metal dish does not bother at all.

We still use the crutches occasionally, for example for music or news on the terrace.

Ditto. I have a Sony TV. The IPTV channels are integrated in the channel list exactly the same as channels from other sources. No need to start an app. A 100 Mbps connection is usual though, but yes, that can be a reason. But there’s no point in discussing IPTV if you don’t have a data connection. The running costs over 10 years are lower than the investment in a satellite system. I don’t think that’s wrong. Network sockets can be used for other applications, coax is an island. People have probably gotten used to the metal dishes, but they’re still ugly.
