Is a satellite system still necessary in new buildings, or is IPTV sufficient?

Yes, good idea. Once the garden house is there, it would be in the north, so it would be covered by the house, meaning no clear view to the satellite. I’m still mentally somehow on the facade / roof box / overhang installation.... A roof exit window would also be needed then....

Yes, then just do it on the facade, it's common practice. Even with ETICS, it's no problem (with proper planning).

But even without, you simply use thermal anchors and that's it.

Yes, that would of course be the best option. But you have to create a hole inward for the cable(s). Through the ETICS / masonry. But isn't that rather an unfavorable approach? Because of some kind of thermal bridge you have there?

Due to the existing roof box, it is certainly not to be attached there, but maybe on the gable side, provided there are roof beams visible there.

I received the offer from the roofer today for the satellite preparation, i.e. the antenna passage tile and the antenna mast (90cm high for dishes up to 1.2m) for on-rafter mounting. Just under €100 net for the tile and about €220 net for the antenna mast, each including delivery and installation. The price for the antenna mast seems a bit steep to me (actually for the tile as well).

Also, the mast would have to go on the north side of the roof and extend over the ridge for a southward view – are the 90cm even sufficient for that? I would prefer not to use the southern roof for a planned photovoltaic system.

Is the plan really to cover the entire roof?

Now I would like to keep the option for a satellite system open, or I’m perhaps considering only taking the passage tile and installing the antenna mast later.
Maybe someone has one or the other idea about this?

Talk to your electrician to have him lay the cables in the empty conduit up to the rafters + 2-3m. Then you can simply install the satellite dish later and don’t even need to buy a tile now. By the way, there are roof tile seals made of aluminum/plastic for €20 on Amazon. Completely sufficient. The holder costs about €60-100.
