Is a satellite system still necessary in new buildings, or is IPTV sufficient?

Netflix is now offering a package with the channels from Waipu for just under 5 euros extra. Earlier, I accidentally watched regular TV again. Apart from the news, there really isn’t anything worth watching anymore, but I would still install satellite...

Well, for some it isn't. For some streaming providers, harsh criticism of buffering led them to temporarily reduce bitrates, which annoys me a lot. I would rather wait 10 minutes at the beginning before it starts than have to endure poor quality for the first 5 minutes.
But yes, it's rather rare and happens during peak times.

Me neither, I don't understand it either, but there are quite a few who find it really problematic.

Could you explain that in more detail?

With our provider, that would be great, partly already bandwidth of 3 Mbit instead of 30, and during storms it can sometimes completely collapse. And then checking the IP, well, good luck with that. Although it can also happen with satellite, our network is overloaded every evening.. We first had to prove to the provider that this was the case.
Yes, oops, there is a load on the directional radio link was then the approximate response.
We have a Kathrein dish on the roof, which lifts the house and usually the head as well, unless lightning strikes or the time decides for a replacement.

Then it's IP via cable or LTE and not DSL, right? There is no congestion with DSL. Either the bandwidth is there or it isn't.

It is DSL and the connection of the region is via a microwave link which I believe is 7 years old. And the problem only occurs in the evening between 7 and 10 pm, when many people are online. Why we are the first ones to notice it is also unclear to me. It only becomes visible with the DSL measurement, the Fritzbox says 30 Mbit, of course because the DSLAM is only 700 m away. But the feeder line comes via microwave.
