Is a satellite system still necessary in new buildings, or is IPTV sufficient?

Would always install Sat. With IP-TV there is always a short delay of a few seconds. This is an absolute nuisance for live broadcasts like football.

Hello everyone, we will receive the keys to our new house on 01.08. The previous owner received the TV signal via DVB-T. I am now facing the decision of either taking IPTV through Telekom or rather SAT-IP (which I tend to prefer). No coaxial cables or similar are installed, hence the option with SAT-IP. TV should be possible in a total of 5 rooms (3 rooms upstairs and 2 rooms downstairs). I would need your help on what makes sense or what I need - thanks in advance.

If you choose MagentaTV from Telekom, please make sure when switching that it supports IGMPv3.

With MagentaTV, you need a separate receiver from Telekom for each TV, which costs a rental fee, right?

Are there even network cables laid? Using several devices simultaneously over Wi-Fi will not be fun.
