I'm just still trying to find the "evidence for it". The picture quality isn't really the point... How many channels can you get in total, how many in HD? Does it all run via Astra 19.2 degrees East?
Yes, it all runs via Astra 19.2. I didn't even know myself that there is already so much in HD. Ard, ZDF Neo, ZDF, ARTE, NDR, MDR, WDR, etc. are all available for free in HD. But also Servus TV and some private channels are free. Otherwise, the argument is that internet streaming often still costs money, and if 3 people in the house watch in Ultra HD simultaneously, the bandwidth will probably get tight. But we also watch Netflix and series 80% of the time. Sports, documentaries, news, and in the evening the healthy portion of trash TV run via satellite.
