Is a satellite system still necessary in new buildings, or is IPTV sufficient?

Not necessarily, you can also install the provider's IPTV app on TVs with Android.

Regardless of whether satellite, IPTV, cable, or antenna. Logitech Harmony does it all. I control the Magenta receiver, TV, Yamaha receiver, and the LED strips behind the TV and sideboard with it. Individually or multiple at the same time via scenes as I have programmed them according to my wishes.

Is that then homemade, or is it available ready-made for purchase? Addition, because it is not well understood: For example, can I buy a Panasonic TV and simply install the app for Telekom Magenta or Deutsche Glasfaser and everything works, or is that rather difficult?

However, Swisscom generally does not have the best network. There have been some problems in the past weeks or months even without Corona. The backbone is said not to be beyond all doubt, from what one hears.

Other Swiss providers like Salt or Init7 do not complain about this.

I only have experience with 1&1 TV and there the app is available ready-made for TVs with Android operating system (newer Samsung, for example). It should work with the Magenta app as well.

It depends on what you understand by IPTV. Zattoo, Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ can be accessed on any "modern" TV and if not, the FireTV Stick or similar can do it. For Sky, I think you needed a box, but I believe nowadays you can also manage that through the home network...
