I am with Anitra. Sometimes you just have to accept what is set for the OP. I think constantly going on about "mine is better" is just annoying. Kbt, you are not building this thing for yourself. He wants corner and entrance via the utility room. Such a small threshold can seriously be leveled with some concrete without any problem. I already knew why I never put our floor plan up for discussion here. There would have been tons of things that my wife and I simply don't care about. Karsten

I tried to redraw it. I hope I understood correctly. I generally prefer no stairs, but I don't know if that's possible. It may be that I need a stair in front of the main entrance because in our case, southwest is higher than the street. If I start from the driveway with a slope of e.g. 5% and continue to the end of the carport, then the side entrance will be higher than the main entrance. I don't know what options there are at all and which is better. Therefore, I have to meet with the architect or construction manager once and decide about it. I haven't done anything yet because I had no approval from the city regarding the plot. We have had the approval since the middle of last week

.. Karsten .. sure, I’m not building for myself.

But have you noticed that this thread originally started with the bungalow not allowed to be larger than 130 sqm, but must be barrier-free. Meanwhile, it’s 142 sqm and still only partially barrier-free. It’s not about me seeing mine as "better," although I do find it better regarding the originally defined "internal" values. The house can certainly look completely different, as long as it meets the desired content. And in my opinion, the latest bungalow version does not meet that.

As long as the OP, that is zizzi, is still open to discussion, that’s the point of the forum. After all, the house is still just a plan and doesn’t cost only 10 euros.

Only if you come up with something better for a WB, show it to him instead of always insisting on the rectangle. I also ended up with the rectangle, angles too expensive, but for example no one could ever dissuade us from a real hallway from which all rooms branch off, even though that of course takes up space. Believe me, if I had come up with something better for a corner bungalow, I would have done it already .. But, as the name already says, a corner bungalow always produces an additional corner.

I also find it important to resolve this entrance/carport situation and generally have few corners in the hallway and on the paths from room to room.

When you are out with a wheelchair user, this will rarely happen in a small Fiat or Polo, but rather in a Sharan & the like - cars. And all of those are already quite wide by default today, so if you want to get in and out comfortably on both sides, I consider 375 cm a desired minimum dimension. How it looks with a wheelchair, the architect has illustrated quite clearly in the last drawing of the bungalow.
Hence the attempt to give the entrance situation more free space. That doesn’t work so well with the wide front of the corner bungalow either.

That I take such wishes into account can also be seen clearly in the discussion in the thread by Michaela1986 ... (post 147 .. unfortunately posts cannot be linked directly for about 4 weeks now).

The living area of the planned house was 130 sqm. Now it is 132.7 sqm, so with the utility room 138 sqm. I don't know how you come up with 142 sqm.
