If you just want to park the wheelchair in the niche, that will probably work. But I don't see space in the niche, for example, to transfer from the wheelchair with wet wheels to the dry therapy chair.

Topic floors: I personally find tiles too cold to sit on in the children's room and living area. Vinyl or parquet is more comfortable there.
