Zizzi, maybe you shouldn't just look at my floor plans, but also read my text.

Technology under the roof and that creates more than enough storage space.

Toilet .. is exactly 4 cm longer than the toilet in your floor plan and, the door to the toilet is already narrower than the other room doors. With the central access, everything can be used appropriately.

There is nothing against placing 2 sinks in my bathroom design, but the question is, WHY?

2nd entrance from the carport, tightens the carport, takes up space in the house, costs money and how often do you really arrive exactly in the rain and can't you just go the few meters around the corner?

---------------------
Basically, there is first the question of whether you can let go of the angled bungalow, imagine placing the office or child 2 eventually under the roof.
Is a gable roof even allowed? With what pitches?

Mh driving in and turning sideways next to the toilet should work. Washer and dryer do not have to be loaded by the child.

It is also a question of how independent the child will become eventually. For showering, the child can be transferred to a medical chair in the children's room. The disadvantage is that a wet trail is left on the way back. I would plan the bathroom large enough so that a transfer from the wheelchair to a medical chair can be done in the bathroom. Either by two people or one person with a lifting aid.

Due to the long shape of the all-purpose room, it is easier to handle with a wheelchair. Every curve needs space. As far as I remember, you also don’t know if and how well your child can move on their own. Straight paths make it easier.

... exactly, that was the idea behind the large room. And to have enough space there so that the family can always come together. A table big enough so that you can drive up with the wheelchair and everyone else can still move freely. Direct straight path from the hallway to the terrace, etc.

A second front door, for example to the utility room, is by far the most unnecessary thing that can be removed first from a nice-to-have list when the budget is limited.
Moreover, it should be added that this entrance will not be wheelchair accessible due to budget reasons, so it is not practical for you at all.
I’m always in favor of a gable roof! It can be better expanded.

If I think of disabled toilets in hospitals: washbasin or toilet next to the shower, that should then work.
And regarding the guest toilet or other: it is a suggestion, not fixed. The house can possibly be made 20cm wider, or whatever...
Complaining about a door, wherever it is or isn’t, is out of place here.

I think I would find it nice if the wheelchair child had direct access to the terrace. Evolith mentioned something like that, and I think there is a lot of sense behind it

How can Dundas be so dogmatic about door no. 2! On the contrary, I think a house without a side entrance is a design flaw, for us. We have now been living in our hut for almost three weeks and have hardly used the front door. Partly because the backdoor has a handle and you can’t lock yourself out without a key.
I find the wish for a back door and utility room downstairs completely normal.
