I had exactly the same problem. I was a little annoyed at first, but by now it is completely inconspicuous visually.

However, it was not so easy to find these spacer rings. Or I was just clumsy. In the end, I ordered 18cm wooden boards with a thickness of 6mm, glued three together each, sanded them, painted them white, and hollowed them out in the middle with a hole saw. And then attached them to the ceiling together with the Unifi adapter plate.

My problem is also not so much the visibility but the implementation. But now I have received the perfect solution for that
I will probably implement it that way.... once I know which access point I should buy........

Ok. Then I will buy 2 of them. And which switch do I need, although I completely forgot to take a picture of the cabinet. Not much fits in there.

Do you still have more POE devices? If yes, take a small POE switch, e.g. from unifi. Otherwise, use the injectors that come with the APs. In principle, you can use any 1gbit switch.

I have here a 10 inch cabinet with a Zyxel GS1900-24E, fits perfectly on one shelf. In the attic on the ceiling hangs a NanoHD, which by the way is already better throughout the whole house than the FritzBox.

(had already shown it once in a thread)
