Are LAN sockets still up-to-date? WLAN/wireless is the future!

I also criticized that. Seems rather pointless with the options nowadays.

I agree. I currently have that in the rental apartment and it is rather disappointing. Although in my small village everything related to this topic is disappointing. Even devices connected by cable are very weak.

Once the terrace area with terrace door. So in case someone tries to enter the house there. And once I would like to use a Doorbird as an intercom system. For that then.

I count myself among them as well. If you have no idea, you can only try to get the information somewhere to not be helplessly at the mercy of the companies. But despite many long evenings of internet research, I think I still only know 5% of what is possible or appropriate. That is a pity.

I think my Keineahnung is deeper than the Mariana Trench. But good tips for the telephone forums. At least I already know that I should connect things like the TV with a cable rather than using the current rental solution, Fire TV Stick over WiFi. That’s as far as I am. I don’t have particularly high demands. As I said, in my current village, the woman watches TV via the Fire TV Stick, and I want to watch something on DAZN with the tablet, and the system is already overloaded. No joke.

It is not always true, but roughly one can say that "buy, pocket, remain clueless" products are worthless. Half-knowledge is always better than no knowledge – it only gets tricky when the clueless meet half-knowledge experts. After all, the latter are somewhat rarer in specialist forums than in the electronics store, where they work as salesman actors.

Don't get upset, look out the window, there you see green instead of concrete, that's the village too, and you don't have to lock your car and the house either, and if you want to go hiking, you just go from home, and there are no pickpockets either and hey old man, got some cash, no either, forget the internet.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. Our neighboring country is only about 500 meters away as the crow flies via unofficial routes. Even in my small village of 800 inhabitants, there are regular break-ins during the winter months. (But of course it's only a suspicion that the burglars come from FR. They could come from anywhere.) But that's another topic. And the development area also has a faster connection. Therefore, it will get better.
