Repeater costs half the speed, Mesh a little less. It is an emergency or retrofit solution. However, it has no place in a new building. Additionally, you send everything through one port on your switch/FritzBox. If you connect each access point directly, each can deliver and pass on the full speed. Multiple FritzBoxes is totally crappy. If anything, additional APs. Install LAN cables in the ceiling. If the electrician doesn’t do that, have empty conduits installed. Then install an access point at each location. With few access points, use injectors to transmit power over the LAN cable (PoE).

Do not use a Fritzbox as an access point, it cannot be powered directly via the LAN cable. Today, people often use the Unify access points. They also look nicer.

(Just imagining a Fritzbox hanging from the ceiling :eek

Which access point would you recommend then? I would now define the second Fritz!Box as an access point. One is placed in the HAR and is directly connected to the switch/panel, and the other goes to the OG and is also connected there via LAN.

Please choose above all those that you feel confident installing/configuring. The best access point is useless to you if you cannot set it up (optimally) due to a lack of expertise. Whether you then opt for a managed solution with an (additional) access point is up to you. However, this will not be worthwhile from a cost/benefit perspective.

You are right. Thanks for the tip. Poe is not supported by AVM.
