Are LAN sockets still up-to-date? WLAN/wireless is the future!

I will take a photo of the cabinet tomorrow. It is rather small and flat. Not much fits inside. One cable comes directly from the concrete ceiling without space or a box above it. The other comes from a plasterboard ceiling. I can hide cables above that.

Then, in your opinion, you only have two options for the concrete ceiling. 1. Surface-mounted network socket 2. Spacer ring of about 3 cm between the concrete ceiling and the access point. In this cavity, you can hide the cables.

Then I probably have to use a spacer ring. I thought it would be enough to shorten the cable and plug it into the access point so that the cable disappears somewhere inside the access point. Not as easy as I thought....

Most of the time, the access points are built so delicately that there is just enough space to plug in the cable.

A hollow box in the concrete ceiling would have made more sense. There, you could have pushed the piece of cable back in.

Absolutely right. I only really understood and noticed the issue with the access points here when the concrete ceiling had already been poured. Bad luck. I will have to see exactly how I can create some space there.

From what perspective do you fear you will be able to see a 3 cm spacer ring at all?
