Most field-installable connectors do not fit the size of the Access Point. Therefore Keystone and short patch cable. Installation cable is also too stiff.

Depending on how the access point is designed, you already have trouble getting the plug into the socket without bending the cable. The MikroTik is, for example, such a candidate. With the stiff installation cable, this is practically impossible.

Theoretically, it is possible. However, the disadvantages and difficulties have already been mentioned.

You also have the problem, if it fails, of not having an unlimited number of attempts to correct your work.

Yes, of course. If it goes wrong, there won't be many attempts left. But I understood and will try the better solution. I probably won't have implemented this thing by the time we move in. That's why the first plan is to simply connect the access point to a socket in the living room to operate it there temporarily until I've made something nice for the ceiling. That would work for the time being, except for the poorer coverage of the rooms, right?

It is connected to the network and will work, what else? The placement is lousy, you know that yourself. But watch out, such makeshift solutions sometimes last for years :)

I am doing my best..... But I have one more stupid question. Do you need an extra cable to operate the access point with PoE? Are there any differences or what do I need to consider regarding the cable?
