Is a house for a total volume of 400k still possible at all?

Good morning, we had the excavation contractor here yesterday. In his opinion, 50k is realistic for the complete earthworks. It probably won’t be any less than that. This includes all the preliminary work for the basement as well as supporting a small area of the neighboring property. Since opinions about the exterior area vary significantly here, I have decided to leave that aside for now. What is important for me now is to first see whether the 500k for the construction project will be sufficient as we envision it or not. Apparently, prices also vary regionally to such an extent that this cannot be answered concretely in a forum. In any case, I am grateful for the hints regarding the house and property; otherwise, I probably would have entered the dream of building a house somewhat naively and certainly would have been someone who had to refinance later. We are now waiting for the soil report and will at least roughly plan with our architect. Possibly, we will now just buy the property and build up a financial buffer over 2-3 years and try to remove a few cubic meters from the property :D:D I still consider it an extremely sensible investment even though it is significantly more expensive than initially assumed.
