Is a house for a total volume of 400k still possible at all?

Okay, interesting, what kind of provider is that then?
We had 3 offers from prefabricated house suppliers and it always came to at least 28k.
So 21k for the garage with gate, door, and window, 6k for the foundations, 1k for drainage connection and electrical work.

With building the masonry ourselves and roofing it ourselves, we came out a bit cheaper than the prefabricated garage, but still enough.

Zapf, Kemmler, Ott --> all were between 23 and 25k. Garage price about 21k and about 3-4k for the foundations. But we had received these offers through several different general contractors within this price range. So it was very transparent for us. Although I already find 24k more than enough :D We are now paying exactly 24,600€ for a 6x6 large space garage with colored gate, design door, window, water connection, aluminum cladding around the flat roof, displaced downpipe to the outside :)

That will show itself then. Write something about the desired features. Raffstores, lift-and-slide door, KfW standard, windows, front door, bathrooms shower, tiles, stairs, ceiling height, living area, heating system, chimney, fireplace, photovoltaic, controlled residential ventilation, electrical, etc. The more the better, then one can tell you whether 500k€ and how much of the 500k€ should be allocated to the exterior facilities (garage, carport, driveway, terrace, canopy, etc.).

When doing it yourself, it's not so easy to say, bought some things here, then there. It's also hard to say how much of the earthworks were for the garage.
But it was probably at least 27k, although larger than the alternative prefabricated garage.
The construction company did the foundation and floor slab, earthworks were not free either, carpenter for the roof, bricks, snow guards....

We had a CLEARLY more expensive offer from Zapf than you, but there are also differences between double garages and double garages.

Would also be interesting to me. We had alternative offers from several prefabricated house providers, but with none would we have landed under 400k for our 160 living space with basement.

That's why I'm asking, because no one claimed that 500k€ all in will actually be enough. We only know that the outdoor facilities and foundation work will be expensive.
