We are probably rather talking about gross, which would also better fit the stated parental allowance. Have yourselves advised carefully and calculate it for yourselves to see what you then have left for living AND also for building up savings!

No, with 3-shift full-time, 2500 € net is easily achievable. More like a peak towards 2600 €. TVÖD P8 level 4 + shift allowance and so on

Between 440,000 (wasn’t that the house price?!) and comparable offers there is about €550,000 difference! They are around a million! If it’s about a quarter... okay, sympathy or not... but definitely not less than half... :rolleyes:

The owner is a wealthy Munich resident and bought the house for when he occasionally comes here to the regulars' table and stays overnight. He is based in the area and bought it back then to have a place to sleep maybe 10 times a year xD I walk past that house almost daily for 3 years and have never seen him. His neighbor, who is an old acquaintance of mine, asked him what he plans to do with it. The gentleman from Munich then said he might sell it. The neighbor then asked if he could have a say in whom to sell it to. And so he now has it in his hands. That’s the short version.

The house price is €430,000 and to be honest, I will try to see if he might still go down. Yes, as I said... he is not dependent on it. I estimate he will sell it for the price he bought it for a few years ago.

Maybe one should invest a few euros here for an expert who could potentially find hidden problems. We were also just before buying a 20-year-old single-family house 2.5 years ago. We were totally in love. Everything was perfect. The expert advised us, also knowing that we had a plot of land in sight, to urgently refrain from buying (damp basement). Now, 2.5 years later, the house is still not sold and the basement is currently being exposed for sealing.

I was inside with my cousin the day before yesterday, he is a master bricklayer and construction technician. My other cousin was also inside, he is a carpenter. They had a moisture meter with them and looked at everything carefully. They say the house is really great, the only thing is under the garage on one wall, water is coming in from the garage, that will have to be opened, dried, and sealed so that nothing can come in anymore. He will do it for 5000 € and that is highly estimated. Otherwise, it was apparently renovated not too long ago, since there is new parquet flooring everywhere (except in the basement of course).
